Even the most stunning of women will pick themselves apart if given the opportunity. With the available technologies, including plastic surgery, women are left searching for the next miracle product that will help them attain their idea of perfection. Between Botox, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, lip plumpers, breast enhancements, liposuction, and other cosmetic procedures, a woman has the potential to give herself the features she desires. However, this often leads to a false sense of beauty and even lower self-esteem than before.

True beauty and contentment with yourself comes from within, from feeling good about who you are and what you have accomplished. That feeling will then touch every part of your life, including your outward appearance. A confident woman will dress in a way that complements, not alters, her body and looks.

As an image consultant in Houston, I have worked with hundreds of women to help them discover the gorgeous woman inside – no plastic surgery needed! One of the first steps of this process is to discover your “MPS”: My Personal Style. When do you feel most attractive? What are you wearing and what are you doing? Take snapshots or notes of these pieces and situations, and keep them in a file. Pinterest is a great tool for creating inspiration boards to organize what captures your attention and makes you feel powerful and beautiful. When you develop your inward beauty and confidence, it will shine through, resulting in a better makeover than all the plastic surgery in the world.

In the society in which we live, clothes are very important. We are born into the world naked, and are immediately clothed. Mothers spend hours painstakingly choosing outfits for their children’s special occasions: the perfect outfit to wear home from the hospital, a lovely white christening gown, lively attire for her first birthday party, a shirt in his favorite sports team’s colors.

From there, clothes continue to be important, but the child gains independence with the clothes he or she wears. Perhaps she is allowed to choose from select items, or he is permitted to pick out a pair of shoes. As children gravitate to styles, colors, and patterns, their personality shines through. The items they wear are representative of who they are and what they enjoy. Throughout the years, something called “personal style” evolves and changes. Hairstyles, makeup, accessories and more are added to this representation of self.

As we get older, sometimes other things take precedence over they way we look. Instead of buying quality pieces, we buy things that are practical or affordable. Or maybe we lose touch with who we are, and buy things that don’t fit in with our life – ranging from too extravagant to not wearable. When you look in your closet, how many of the items are pieces you are actually excited to wear? Or are you wearing the same three outfits while the rest sit, collecting dust? Do you long to be able to focus on choosing styles that flatter you, colors that enhance your appearance, and outfits that make you feel beautiful and attractive?

You would never take a trip without a GPS or a map. So why embark on this journey without a guide? Let me help you find your sense of style, one that respects your current place in life. You don’t need to lose 20 pounds to look and feel gorgeous. Instead, focus on personality, lifestyle, color, proportion, fit, fabric, and similar characteristics in your wardrobe choices. I can teach you to shop in a way that brings an end to buying mistakes!

The way you look sets the tone for your mood and the way you feel about yourself, day after day. If you cannot find pieces in your closet that are wearable, easy to style, and flattering, you will feel unattractive and discouraged. Through very simple steps, I can teach you how to restore your wardrobe by getting rid of what doesn’t work, revamping what does, and supplementing with new pieces that represent and complement the new you.

It can be overwhelming to step into a store these days. There is so much! You may wonder, what styles look good on me? What shades of color go with my skin tone? What lengths and shapes work with my body type? I have been helping clients find the answers to these questions for nearly 30 years. Take me shopping with you and I will serve as your security blanket when you are feeling intimidated and unsure.

Time with me is an investment in yourself and your future. Money spent on bad choices is gone and wasted, but I can show you how to spend your money wisely, so that each piece you buy is something that will work for you for years to come. You will also gain insight regarding your sense of style.

Remember, you have one life to live. You deserve to understand it and to live it to its fullest. Finding your personal style can be one of the first and most powerful steps of that process.

Please contact me with any questions or to set up a consultation. I am looking forward to helping you find the most fabulous and confident version of yourself!
